Ukrainian Artist Yael Natali Sonkin Presents Little Paws, Big Heart in Tallinn

The solo exhibition brings together 13 works dedicated to cats, dogs and the emotional connection between people and animals.

TALLINN, Estonia — 23 August 2026 — Ukrainian artist Yael Natali Sonkin will present her solo exhibition Little Paws, Big Heart, opening on 1 September at Raf Cafe in Tallinn.

The exhibition features 13 artworks portraying cats and dogs through their individual personalities, expressive looks and amusing habits. Together, the works form a warm visual story about animals that become part of people’s lives and change them in their own distinctive ways.

“Animals bring warmth and joy into our lives, and I love trying to capture that feeling in my paintings,” says Sonkin. “I hope the works make people smile, feel warmth and perhaps recognise a little of their own pets in them.”

Originally from Ukraine and currently based in Catalonia, Spain, Sonkin is a professional artist who works primarily in watercolour. She also uses pastel, oil and mixed media in her practice.

The exhibition also has a charitable dimension. A portion of the proceeds from artwork sales will be directed towards helping animals in need.

“Animals give us so much love and ask for very little in return,” Sonkin says. “I am happy that through my art I can not only share this love but also help animals who need care and a home.”

Little Paws, Big Heart is organised by the Association of Global Online Painters (AGOP), an Estonia-based association that helps artists develop their professional exhibition practice and present their work to new audiences.
