Marina Fisher — Sunlit Trace

Solo Exhibition in Tallinn
Dates: February 15 – March 15, 2026
Venue: Taverna del Gallo Nero, J. Poska 45, Tallinn, Estonia
Opening: February 15, 2026 at 17:00 (free entry)

From February 15 to March 15, 2026, a solo exhibition by Marina Fisher titled Sunlit Trace will take place in Tallinn. The exhibition will be held at Taverna del Gallo Nero (J. Poska 45) and will present a series of new paintings created specifically for this project.

The exhibition includes ten medium-sized works painted between November 2025 and January 2026 and shown to the public for the first time. The main motifs — palm trees, beaches, the ocean, and elephants — form a visual “trace of the sun” within a northern winter city. The concept of Sunlit Trace is built on memories of travel and the idea of a warm greeting from the tropics to the North. The artworks create the effect of a brief transition into a space of light, warmth, and calm.

“Life inspires me — it connects space, time, and mood. In my painting, I turn ordinary moments into personal stories,” says Marina Fisher.

The artist works in oil, paying particular attention to texture and color density, and frequently uses palette-knife impasto techniques. Drawing has accompanied her since preschool age; since 2014 she has regularly returned to painting, and since 2019 she has maintained a consistent artistic practice and sells her works.

Marina Fisher was born in 1976 in Leningrad (USSR). Her childhood and youth were spent in various cities and countries, including Ukraine, Russia, Tajikistan, and Georgia. Since 2022 she has been living on the island of Phuket, Kingdom of Thailand. She holds degrees in education and psychology, as well as an MBA. By her first profession, she is a primary school teacher and a Latin language instructor. She is a member of the International Association of Online Painters (AGOP). In 2025, her artwork “Ladybugs in Kaleidoscope” received the Audience Choice Award at the international exhibition “Kaleidoscope” in Tallinn.
