Tallinn’s Town Hall rises above a winter square, with a decorated Christmas tree bringing points of warm colour into the snowy scene. Buildings narrow the view on either side, leading the eye towards the tower. Yael Natali Sonkin uses oil pastel on paper to give the architecture and seasonal lights a lively, broken surface.
