Mr. Kotiah

This monochrome work transforms the image of a cat into a hybrid, creature-like form suspended between anatomy, ornament, and metamorphosis. Dense black linework builds the body out of ribs, coils, cavities, and shell-like structures, turning the familiar silhouette into something ancient, skeletal, and strangely alive. The absence of color intensifies the drawing’s graphic force and directs attention to texture, rhythm, and invented anatomy. Rather than depicting an animal naturalistically, the work explores mutation, vulnerability, and the uneasy beauty of bodies imagined beyond nature.
