Red poppy heads rise beside a golden ear of grain against a softly brushed grey-blue background. Dark green stems and rounded seed pods anchor the flowers in the lower part of the composition. Raisa Rehuretska’s acrylic painting uses the contrast between saturated petals and subdued surroundings to give this compact floral scene its focus.
