“Soul of the South” — The First Solo Exhibition of Oksana Filinska Opens in Tallinn

From June 1 to August 31, 2026, Taverna del Gallo Nero in Tallinn, Estonia, will host “Soul of the South”, the first solo exhibition by Ukrainian artist Oksana Filinska, presented by AGOP — Association of Global Online Painters.

The exhibition brings together ten paintings inspired by summer and the Mediterranean landscape — sunlit lavender fields, warm sea coasts, southern architecture, and the atmosphere of long summer days filled with light and air. Working primarily in oil, Filinska creates expressive painterly surfaces that combine dense impasto textures with lighter, almost transparent passages of color.

Based in Marseille, France, Oksana Filinska works at the intersection of impressionism, figuration, and semi-abstraction. Her artistic language is deeply connected to harmony, warmth, composition, and intuitive perception. The move to southern France became an important stage in the artist’s development, strengthening her connection to Mediterranean color, light, and everyday poetic detail.

Filinska cites artists such as Konstantin Korovin, Vincent van Gogh, Claude Monet, Amedeo Modigliani, and Nicolai Fechin among her influences. She previously participated in AGOP projects, including the international exhibition “Kaleidoscope”.

“Soul of the South” is both a personal reflection on place and atmosphere and an invitation into a world of warmth, sunlight, and slow southern rhythm. The exhibition continues AGOP’s program of supporting artists transitioning from online visibility into real exhibition practice.
