Purple and pink dahlias rise in a vertical cluster with green leaves, small buds and pale flowers around them. The softly brushed background allows the overlapping blooms to remain the focus. Yana Barantsava uses oil paint and varied marks to describe the petal shapes, moving from darker flower centres to lighter outer edges.
