Purple and warm pink vertical areas alternate with raised gold passages in this abstract mixed-media painting. The repeated bands give the image a clear rhythm, while differences in surface texture keep the pattern varied. Maritta Neronin works with texture paste, acrylic and gold leaf on canvas, bringing reflective detail into the deeper coloured ground.
