Roses in Bloom

This painting presents a cluster of roses through bold, expressive brushwork that emphasizes sensation over exact description. Layers of pink, lavender, blue, and white unfold across the surface, giving the flowers a luminous, almost shifting presence. Thick, visible strokes create movement and texture, while flashes of yellow and deep green intensify the composition’s energy. Rather than functioning as a traditional floral still life, the work captures the vitality of roses in bloom, where color, gesture, and atmosphere combine to evoke abundance, delicacy, and emotional warmth.
