Faces of the Garden

Solo Exhibition by Lada Kholosho

April 1 — June 1, 2026
Taverna del Gallo Nero, J. Poska 45, Tallinn, Estonia

Faces of the Garden is a solo exhibition by contemporary artist Lada Kholosho, presented in Tallinn from April 1 to June 1, 2026.

The exhibition brings together eleven works created in 2024 and centred on botanical and floral imagery. Blooming trees, roses, meadows and dense garden forms appear throughout the series, shifting between recognisable natural motifs and more expressive compositions built through colour, rhythm and movement.

Rather than treating the garden as a single landscape, Kholosho approaches it as a collection of individual encounters. Each work isolates a different mood, gesture or fragment of nature — from quiet, restrained floral compositions to more intense arrangements of saturated colour. Together, the works form a varied portrait of the garden as a living, changing environment.

Faces of the Garden continues Kholosho’s interest in colour, atmosphere and the emotional character of ordinary visual surroundings. The exhibition presents the garden not simply as a subject, but as a source of recurring forms, contrasts and visual rhythms.

About Lada Kholosho

Lada Kholosho is a contemporary artist based in Estonia. Her practice is rooted in traditional media and developed from a background in fine art, illustration and graphic design.

Since 2019, she has focused primarily on her independent artistic practice, working with painting and drawing across a range of traditional materials. Colour, atmosphere and the expressive potential of familiar subjects are recurring elements in her work.

Her subjects include botanical motifs, urban landscapes, seascapes and animals, while her approach often moves between direct observation and a more personal interpretation of colour and form.
