A spotted big cat looks towards the viewer from among deep green leaves. Pale facial markings and bright eyes stand out against the shaded vegetation around the head. Marina Solovjova’s soft pastel work on Canson Touch paper combines a closely observed animal portrait with a dense foliage setting, using the surrounding darkness to focus the gaze.
